How to Check a USDT TRC20 Wallet Address Before Sending

A blockchain transfer cannot be undone, so check the address before you press "Send". Here are simple steps that take half a minute.

A USDT transfer on the blockchain is irreversible: if you get the address or network wrong, the funds usually cannot be recovered. A few minutes of checking is the best insurance. Here is a step-by-step guide.

What a TRC20 address looks like

An address on the TRON network (TRC20) starts with the letter T, is 34 characters long (Latin letters and digits) and contains no spaces. An address starting with "0x" belongs to other networks (such as ERC20) and does not work for TRC20. For more on the difference, see TRC20 vs ERC20.

Step by step

  1. Check the network twice. Your sending wallet and your order must both say TRC20 (Tron). Draxma accepts only TRC20, and USDT sent on another network may be lost.
  2. Copy the address with the copy button, not by hand. Manual typing is the main source of mistakes.
  3. Check the format. The first character is "T", the length is 34, and there are no spaces at the beginning or end.
  4. Compare the start and the end. Match the first and last 5–6 characters in your order with those in your wallet's confirmation screen.
  5. Look at the whole address. Some malware replaces copied text. Paste the address into a notes app or input field and see whether it matches the original.
  6. Make sure the source is trustworthy. Take the address only from your order page on draxma.io, or from your own wallet if you are receiving USDT. Never use addresses sent by strangers in messengers or emails.
  7. Check the amount and network on the confirmation screen, and only then send.
  8. Save the transaction hash. After sending, you will need it to track the transfer. The exchange status is visible on the order page; USDT is credited after TRON network confirmations.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing ERC20 or BEP20 instead of TRC20.
  • Typing the address manually or copying it incompletely.
  • Extra spaces or characters when pasting.
  • Using an address sent by a third party.
  • Rushing: confirming without reviewing the wallet's details screen.

Good to know

Draxma checks every wallet address against sanctions lists and the list of addresses blocked by the USDT issuer, so use only your own wallet. A network fee always exists, and at Draxma the "You receive" amount in the order is already final, because our fees and the network payout fee are included.

Summary: check the network, the format and the start and end of the address, copy it with the button, and only then confirm the transfer.
